While DP World already had a sustainability strategy in place, the business had outgrown its former commitments and wanted something more ambitious, memorable and pioneering to align its actions with its innovative and future-oriented outlook. Building on the existing framework, I worked with the business to reimagine its 'Our World. Our Future' strategy, establish a set of new long-term commitments and re-energise its focus. Centred around seven responsible business priorities and three legacy commitments, the refreshed strategy combined an internal focus with external priorities to ensure direct and indirect impact through the Group's activiites. This included the ambition to create a lasting legacy across three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcasing DP World's ongoing contribution to global development. Despite delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the strategy was eventually launched in 2021 to thousands of visitors at the DP World pavillion in Expo City Dubai.
